Softball Recap: Robinson Find Success

Robinson's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They never let the Northview Knights get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Maroons have posted since March 20th.

Not much got past Eva Herman, who gave up just a hit and racked up 16 Ks to keep Northview off the board. Herman has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Mallory Mosbey was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles.

Robinson's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Northview, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Robinson didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-4 defeat against Marshall on the 14th. As for Northview, they have also already played their next contest, a 7-5 win against Greencastle on the 15th.
