Volleyball Recap: Two Rivers Comes Up Short

Two Rivers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Roncalli Jets. The Purple Raiders were not able to make up for their loss to the Jets from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Two Rivers started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 23-25, 25-17, 25-22, 18-16.

Sierra Falvey paced Two Rivers' offense, picking up ten kills. Falvey got some help from Anna Klein and her 15 assists. Piper Engh and Quinn McGinty kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Two Rivers' defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Roncalli, the victory snapped their losing streak at six matches and leaves them with a 9-12 record.

Two Rivers has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Hilbert on the 4th. As for Roncalli, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Brillion on the 9th.
