Soccer Game Preview: Southwind vs. Brighton

The Southwind Jaguars will head out to square off against the Brighton Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Brighton will have to contend with a Southwind team hungry for a win, something the squad hasn't seen yet this season. Neither Southwind nor Memphis Central could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Southwind's first draw of the season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Brighton took on Ripley on Thursday. The Cardinals' defense stepped up to hand the Tigers a 2-0 shutout. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Brighton.

Southwind's draw gives them a new season record of 0-5-1. As for Brighton, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 3-5-1.
