Baseball Recap: Archie Williams Beats Branson for Their Third Straight Win

Archie Williams won the last time they faced Branson and things went their way on Tuesday too. Archie Williams came out on top against Branson by a score of 6-3. That's two games straight that the Peregrine Falcons have won by exactly three runs.

Leo Hendricks spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on six hits and racked up six Ks. Those six strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.

At the plate, Archie Williams saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Thongnopneua, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Miki Accomazzo was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

The win (which was Archie Williams' third in a row) raised their record to 4-6. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Branson, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-5.

Archie Williams will have a chance to go back-to-back against Branson: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
