Recap: Richmond City School of the Arts Bulldogs vs. Huguenot Falcons
The Richmond City School of the Arts Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Huguenot, falling 43-14. Richmond City School of the Arts lost against Huguenot in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 46-27 score last time.
Despite the defeat, Richmond City School of the Arts had strong showings from Laylianah McBrayer, who scored 8 points, and Ashanay Smith, who scored 5 points. McBrayer scored a full 57.1% of Richmond City School of the Arts' points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Richmond City School of the Arts' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Huguenot, their win bumped their record up to 1-3.
Richmond City School of the Arts will head out on the road to face off against James River Midlothian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Huguenot, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Clover Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
