David Emanuel Academy lost against Glascock County two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The David Emanuel Academy Eagles fell 62-52 to the Glascock County Panthers. One positive for the Eagles, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

David Emanuel Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Aubrey Williams, who posted 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Kyli Bell was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to six rebounds and five assists.

Even though they lost, David Emanuel Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 23 offensive boards in five consecutive matchups.

David Emanuel Academy dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Glascock County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Briarwood Academy the next time they take the court. Glascock County will host Briarwood Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, while David Emanuel Academy will host them at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
