Lafayette Christian Academy waltzed into their match on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Vinton Lions by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Knights also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2023.

Lafayette Christian Academy easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-13.

Leading Lafayette Christian Academy to victory were Dimi Batiste and ElisE KEnnison. Batiste had 13 assists and four digs, while Kennison had four digs and two aces. Those two aces gave Kennison a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Lafayette Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces in four consecutive matchups.

Lafayette Christian Academy's record is now 9-7. As for Vinton, they dropped their record down to 4-6 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.
