Recap: St. Brendan Sabres vs. Gulliver Prep Raiders
With a playoff game on the line, the St. Brendan Sabres rose to the challenge on Thursday. They took down the Raiders 58-42. The victory was nothing new for St. Brendan as they're now sitting on three straight.
St. Brendan's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gianna Gras, who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gras has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Caballero, who scored 11 points.
Gulliver Prep's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caitlen Dauphin, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. Dauphin hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for nine straight games. Mikayla Brown was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds.
St. Brendan is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 15-11 record this season. As for Gulliver Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 14-8.
St. Brendan's road trip will continue as they head out to face Sports Leadership & Management at 1:00 p.m. on February 10th. Sports Leadership & Management has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 367 points over their last five matches. Gulliver Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
