The Jumpertown Cardinals are taking a road trip to challenge the Wheeler Eagles at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Jumpertown is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
It was a proper cat-fight when Jumpertown took on Byers on Tuesday. Jumpertown was the clear victor by a 17-4 margin over Byers. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Kingston Orchard was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He also brought in three RBI, marking his first of the season.
In other batting news, Jumpertown got a massive performance out of Reece Johnson, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. What's more, Johnson posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Levi Elliott was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Jumpertown always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .700. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Wheeler was able to grind out a solid victory over Tremont on Friday, taking the game 5-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for Wheeler.
Brayden Edwards was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Jumpertown pushed their record up to 4-10 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Wheeler, their record is now 6-8.
Jumpertown suffered a grim 13-5 defeat to Wheeler in their previous matchup back in February. Can Jumpertown avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
