Football Recap: Calumet New Tech's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Calumet New Tech had no problem doing just that on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 42-23 victory over the Glenn Falcons. The high-scoring effort was just what the Warriors needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Bryce Brandon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 210 yards and four TDs while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. His longest rush was for an incredible 82 yards. Michael Olivarri was another key player, picking up 151 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

The win snapped Calumet New Tech's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-4 record. As for Glenn, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Coming up, Calumet New Tech is taking a road trip to square off against Mishawaka Marian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Brandon and Vinny Gruber. Glenn does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
