Haley Crouser sets national javelin record

Joins brother Sam and cousin Ryan on list of national track record holders.
Gresham (Ore.) junior Haley Crouser set a national record on Friday when she threw the javelin 181 feet, 2 inches during the Aloha Relays in Beaverton (Ore.). It was her first competition of the season.
The previous record of 176-8 by Avione Allgood of
Legacy (North Las Vegas, Nev.) was set last year.
Haley's brother, Sam Crouser, set the boys national javelin record in 2010 with a throw of 255-4. Her cousin, Ryan Crouser, set an indoor record in the shot put and an outdoor record in the discus last year.
