Whitfield not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 9th (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on the Duchesne Pioneers with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in April.

Whitfield's got stronger as the match went on, holding Duchesne to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-23, 25-22.

Among those leading the charge was Vincent Baiocchi, who had three digs and two aces. That's the most aces he has posted over his last nine matches. Jordan Litvag also deserves some recognition as he had his first dig of the season.

Whitfield's win bumped their record up to 5-10-5. As for Duchesne, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 15 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-20-1 record this season.

Whitfield will host Lutheran at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Duchesne, they are taking a road trip to challenge Westminster Christian at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
