Soccer Game Preview: Everglades vs. Cooper City

Everglades hasn't had much luck against Cooper City recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Everglades Gators will challenge the Cooper City Cowboys at 5:00 p.m.

Everglades is headed into Wednesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Thursday. They lost 7-1 to Flanagan. While losing is never fun, the Gators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 379th, while the Falcons are ranked 144th).

Everglades' goal came courtesy of Jade Miller, which was the first she's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Cooper City's match on Thursday was close up to the half, which is when they kicked things up a notch. Everything went their way against Western as Cooper City made off with a 5-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cowboys, who have now won nine games by three goals or more so far this season.

The win (which was Cooper City's third in a row) raised their record to 12-2-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those three contests. As for Everglades, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.

Everglades suffered a grim 8-0 defeat to Cooper City when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Can Everglades avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
