Recap: St. Joseph Regional Green Knights vs. Delbarton Green Wave
On Saturday, The St. Joseph Regional Green Knights faced the Delbarton Green Wave in a battle between two of the state's top teams. St. Joseph Regional fell just short of Delbarton by a score of 24-21. St. Joseph Regional gained 93 more yards on the day, but it was Delbarton that made the best of use of them.
St. Joseph Regional's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Patrick Grusser, who threw for 288 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.7 yards per attempt.
Among those leading the charge was Phillip Folmar, who picked up 142 receiving yards and a touchdown. Folmar's longest reception was for an incredible 74 yards. Austin Quandt made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
St. Joseph Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Delbarton, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-1.
St. Joseph Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Delbarton also has no future games currently scheduled.
