Volleyball Recap: Catholic Central Takes a Loss

Catholic Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Cedarville Indians, falling 3-0. The Irish were not able to make up for their loss to the Indians from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

While Catholic Central was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Cedarville's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-10, 25-13.

Cedarville found their leader in sophomore Aubrey Van Loo, who had seven digs and five aces. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for Van Loo.

Catholic Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Cedarville, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2.

Catholic Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against West Liberty-Salem on the 4th. As for Cedarville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Newton Local on the 3rd.
