Softball Recap: West Davidson Finds Playoff Glory Versus Walkertown

With a playoff win on the line, West Davidson rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Walkertown Wolfpack 3-1. The victory continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Wolfpack: they've now won three in a row.

Hannah Rollins spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Gracie Michael, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played.

West Davidson's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-7.
