Nitro's game  on Monday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Tuesday. They walked away with  a   6-3  win over the Ripley Vikings. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Vikings  back in March, they had to take a  15-7  defeat.
 McKenzie Hyatt spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and two unearned) runs on six hits.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Karley Evans, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs and one  stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of  Torrance Nutter, who  went 1-for-3 with two  runs and one  stolen base.
 Nitro  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters  in eight consecutive  matches.
Nitro's record now sits at 11-15. As for Ripley, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record  this season.
 Nitro wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  game,  an  11-1  loss against Winfield on the 1st. Ripley has also already played their next  match (against Roane County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
