Softball Recap: Wheaton Academy Wins Going Away Against Aurora Christian

Wheaton Academy won against Aurora Christian on Monday with 27 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Warriors put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 27-12 win. That 15 run margin sets a new team best for the Warriors this season.

Tati Chavez was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Ella Froslid also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Wheaton Academy and bumps their season record up to 5-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 27.0 runs over those games. As for Aurora Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Wheaton Academy will head out on the road to square off against Harvest Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Aurora Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Westmont at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Sentinels have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.83 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
