Basketball Recap: Cousino Beats Richmond for Their Third Straight Win

Cousino had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They strolled past the Richmond Blue Devils with points to spare, taking the game 64-48.

Cousino's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nicholas Farr, who posted 17 points and three steals. Farr's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Cade, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 11 points and three steals.

Cousino was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Cousino's record now sits at 3-1. As for Richmond, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Cousino and Mott will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Cousino's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups. Richmond will take on Marysville in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Richmond is facing Marysville at the right time seeing as Marysville is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
