Basketball Game Preview: Syracuse Titans vs. Clearfield Falcons

The Syracuse Titans will venture away from home to take on the Clearfield Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Syracuse knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matches -- so hopefully Clearfield likes a good challenge.

Syracuse saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of Olympus by a score of 58-55. The contest marked Syracuse's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Skyler Orton, who went 7 for 16 on his way to 16 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Bradlee Trejo, who posted ten points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Clearfield came up short against Highland on Thursday, falling 69-43.

Clearfield's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Syracuse, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Syracuse was able to grind out a solid victory over Clearfield when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 65-55. The rematch might be a little tougher for Syracuse since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
