League recap: Drachslin throws longest pass in league this season for Poly

Fans got a thrill when Chandler Drachslin and Ykili Ross connected against Citrus Hill. The connection was good for 65 yards, the longest such play in Inland Valley this season.

Abraham Nuno of Valley View ran for the longest rushing play in the league this season against Beaumont last week. Nuno scampered for 65 yards on the play and finished with 57 on the day as his team topped the Cougars.

Poly's dynamic duo of Drachslin and Ross proved tough for the Hawks to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Drachslin threw for 128 yards and Ross had 97 yards receiving. Jeffrey Salamon helped Poly's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 22 yards.

The Bears' dynamic duo of Drachslin and Ross proved to be unstoppable against Citrus Hill, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Edward "LJ" Collins was a passing and rushing force as Valley View defeated Beaumont.

Collins was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 23 carries, he ran for 143 yards as Dan Lyons' team fell to Eric Zomalt's team. Teammate Alberto Vargas added to the ground attack by rushing for 72 yards.

Drachslin put up the best numbers through the air as Dennis Brown's team lost to the Hawks.

Ross was the best wideout in Inland Valley this week as the Bears lost to Citrus Hill.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Poly's Drachslin and Ross have proven to be a lethal combination. Drachslin has thrown for 128 yards this season, while Ross, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 6 catches for 97 yards. Collins from the Eagles leads the league in rushing with 143 yards.

Canyon Springs was the team made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from sixth to third in the league. The Cougars defeated Jurupa Valley 34-3 earlier in the week.
