 In what's become a running theme this season, The Academy gave their fans yet another huge  victory on Friday. They never let the Fort Lupton Bluedevils onto the board and left with  an   8-0  win. That's more bragging rights for The Academy, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
  Xavier Turner spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered  just zero earned runs on one hit and racked up ten Ks.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Tony Fabian, who  scored two  runs and  stole five bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Gavin MaGuffin, who  scored a  run while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 The Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Fort Lupton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
 The Academy will head out on the road to  face off against  Jefferson Academy at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2  runs per game  this season, so Jefferson Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Fort Lupton, they will head out on the road to  take on  Valley at 2:00  p.m.  on Friday.
