Basketball Game Preview: Morrison Mustangs vs. Fulton Steamers

Morrison hasn't had much luck against Fulton recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Mustangs are taking a road trip to take on the Steamers at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Morrison is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Ashton-Franklin Center 70-37 on Wednesday. The Mustangs pushed the score to 53-30 by the end of the third, a deficit the Raiders had little chance of recovering from.

Morrison's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Brayden Rubright, who posted 21 points, and Izaak Neas, who earned 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Mcdearmon, who had seven points.

Meanwhile, Fulton didn't have too much trouble with Milledgeville on Tuesday as they won 47-29. The victory continues a trend for the Steamers in their matchups with the Missiles: they've now won five in a row.

Morrison's record now sits at 9-12. As for Fulton, their record is now 9-14.

Morrison didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Fulton when the teams last played on January 6th, but they still walked away with a 52-48 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
