Grosse Ile is a perfect 4-0 against Edsel Ford since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Red Devils will welcome the Thunderbirds at 6:45 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Grosse Ile barely beat Gabriel Richard the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Red Devils' defense stepped up to hand the Fighting Irish a 3-0 shutout on Friday. The victory continues a trend for Grosse Ile in their matchups with Gabriel Richard: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Edsel Ford got the win against Allen Park on Monday by a conclusive 5-2. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Edsel Ford's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 31st, while Allen Park are ranked 194th).

Edsel Ford's win bumped their record up to 19-1-1. As for Grosse Ile, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6-1.

Grosse Ile was able to grind out a solid win over Edsel Ford when the teams last played back in October of 2020, winning 2-0. Will the Red Devils repeat their success, or do the Thunderbirds have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
