Volleyball Recap: St. Anne-Pacelli's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

St. Anne-Pacelli entered their tilt with Brookstone on Tuesday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Cougars. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in August.

While St. Anne-Pacelli might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Brookstone scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 17-25, 26-24, 25-23.

St. Anne-Pacelli found their leader in sophomore Allie Vickery, who had 39 digs and eight assists. Those 39 digs set a new season-high mark for Vickery.

St. Anne-Pacelli's record is now 23-2. As for Brookstone, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 15-5.

St. Anne-Pacelli and Brookstone should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. The Vikings will challenge Strong Rock Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (24 vs. 303). Meanwhile, Brookstone (ranked 34th) will meet Columbus (ranked 126th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
