Baseball Recap: River Valley Comes Up Short

River Valley fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Galion on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 4-3. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

River Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Galion, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2.

While River Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
