Basketball Recap: East Lansing Extends Winning Streak to 19

It's playoff time, and East Lansing had no trouble coming through when it counted. They claimed a resounding 63-36 victory over the Okemos Wolves. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Cameron Hutson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 50% from the field to rack up 20 points. His big performance that evening made it 13 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Kelvin (KJ) Torbert, Jr., who went 5-for-8 en route to 11 points and five boards.

The win was the 19th in a row for East Lansing, bringing their record for this year to 24-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points over those games. As for Okemos, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-8.

East Lansing wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 77-42 victory against Kalamazoo Central on the 6th. Okemos does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
