Basketball Recap: Bowie Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Bowie won the last time they faced Vernon, and Gaige Goodman did his part to make sure it happened again. The Bowie Jackrabbits slipped by the Vernon Lions 34-33 on Friday thanks in part to Goodman, who went 8 for 11 en route to 16 points and eight rebounds. Those 16 points gave him a new career-high.

Another player making a difference was Adam Pickett, who posted four points. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Bowie, bringing their record for this year to 21-9. As for Vernon, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-11.

Bowie didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 61-42 loss against Henrietta on the 4th. As for Vernon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 49-37 defeat against Iowa Park on the 4th.
