Volleyball Recap: New Haven Takes a Loss

New Haven was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Hermann Bearcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bearcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Tuesday.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Hermann scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-20.

New Haven's offense was headlined by Alivia Guehne and Lydia Payne, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Hannah Knight and her 12 assists. Hannah Schneider controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

New Haven's loss dropped their record down to 3-16-2. As for Hermann, they now have a winning record of 9-8-1.

While New Haven had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
