Volleyball Recap: Grovetown Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Grovetown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brunswick Pirates. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

Addyson Richards paced Grovetown's offense, picking up six kills. Richards got some help from Abi Widener and her 12 assists. Widener was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Grovetown's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Brunswick, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

Grovetown didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Glynn Academy on the 16th. As for Brunswick, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Lakeside on the 16th.
