Basketball Game Preview: Golden Demons vs. Pueblo South Colts

Two dominant forwards in Leif Hansen and Caeden Herrera are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Golden Demons will face off against the Pueblo South Colts at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Golden will be strutting in after a victory while Pueblo South will be coming in after a loss.

Golden took a loss when they played away from home back in December of 2024, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They managed a 51-46 win over Aurora Central.

Meanwhile, Pueblo South came up short against Lewis-Palmer on Saturday and fell 61-50.

Golden is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Pueblo South, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Everything came up roses for Golden against Pueblo South in their previous matchup back in December of 2017, as the squad secured a 71-39 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Golden since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
