            The Teaneck Highwaymen will challenge the Bergenfield Bears at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both come into the  matchup bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Teaneck got their first taste of in-conference action  on Friday and they started things off strong. They strolled past Paramus with  points to spare, taking the game  21-7.
 On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Teaneck's defense and their five sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as five different players picked up one apiece.
Meanwhile, Bergenfield was able to grind out a solid  victory over Eastside on Saturday, taking the game  14-7. That's two games straight that the Bears have won by  exactly seven  points.
 Teaneck better focus on containing  Shameire Duncan and  Xavier Valdez as the pair were huge in Bergenfield's win. Duncan rushed for 117 yards and one  score, while  Valdez threw for 93 yards and one  TD. Duncan has become a key player for Bergenfield: the team is undefeated when he posts  at  least  80  rushing yards, but 0-5 otherwise.
 The  win made it two in a row for Bergenfield and  bumps their season record up to 3-5. The  victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 20  points in those games. As for Teaneck, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
Friday's   contest might be decided on the ground. Teaneck has been unstoppable on the ground this season,  having  averaged 209.7  rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Bergenfield struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 159.6  rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's   game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
 Everything came up roses for Teaneck against Bergenfield in their previous matchup  back in October of 2024, as the  team secured  a  36-7 victory. Will the Highwaymen repeat their success,  or do  the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
