Volleyball Game Preview: Arvada West Wildcats vs. Lakewood Tigers + How To Watch

The Arvada West Wildcats will take on the Lakewood Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lakewood took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Arvada West, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Arvada West made easy work of Bear Creek and carried off a 3-0 win. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-4, 25-6.

Meanwhile, Lakewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Golden.

Lakewood wouldn't go down easily and took Golden into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-23, 22-25, 20-25, 15-9.

Arvada West's win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Lakewood, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14.

Arvada West was able to grind out a solid victory over Lakewood in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
