There's no place like home for Cedar Hill, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes on Friday as they made off with a 9-1 win. Considering the Longhorns have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Monte Dismuke spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Julian Gonzalez was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Brayden Boyd, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Cedar Hill has been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Duncanville, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-13.

As of now, neither Cedar Hill nor the Panthers and Pantherettes have any future games scheduled.
