Softball Recap: Oakland Mills Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Oakland Mills unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 23-1 to the Centennial Eagles on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Oakland Mills saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was B Ankney, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Oakland Mills will face off against rival Mt. Hebron at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Centennial is set to take on their familiar foe River Hill at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
