 On Saturday, the Kellenberg Memorial Firebirds came up short against the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Spartans  and fell  8-3.
 For Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake's part,  Ava Yahoudy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and two unearned) runs on six hits. Yahoudy has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate, Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Carli Ewing, who  went 1-for-3 with a  triple and a  run. The team also got some help courtesy of  Emily Martin, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-1.
 Kellenberg Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake,  the  victory  made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 15-2.
 Kellenberg Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Shaker at 4:15  p.m.  on Monday.
