Lincolnwood had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Tri-City Tornadoes with a sharp 9-1 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Lancers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lincolnwood's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-5. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Tri-City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-14.

Lincolnwood will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tornadoes: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
