Softball Recap: Coldwater Extends Winning Streak to Three

Coldwater hadn't done well against Vicksburg recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Cardinals came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 9-4. While the Cardinals didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-22), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The win was the third in a row for Coldwater, bringing their record up to 5-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Vicksburg, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-12.

Looking ahead, Coldwater is taking a road trip to face off against Lakeview at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Vicksburg, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Edwardsburg at 4:00 p.m.
