Pioneer Valley Regional strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hopkins Academy Golden Hawks, sneaking past 4-2. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 6-4 victory back in April.

Ethan Quinn made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Ethan Mauthe was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI. Jackson Campbell was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Pioneer Valley Regional pushed their record up to 21-0 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Hopkins Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.
