Basketball Recap: Florala Comes Up Short

Florala was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Opp Bobcats, falling 57-26. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-10.

Taylor Adams had a dynamite game for Opp, going 9 of 13 on her way to 24 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dionna Stoudemire, who went 6 of 10 on her way to 13 points and seven rebounds.

Florala's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Opp, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-3.

Florala will take on New Brockton in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Opp and Zion Chapel will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
