Basketball Recap: North Florida Christian Comes Up Short

North Florida Christian and Eagle's View squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but North Florida Christian had to settle for second. They fell 47-36 to the Eagle's View Warriors.

Despite the loss, North Florida Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lila Riggan posted 21 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Riggan's evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Ahmiyah Richards, who scored seven points.

Eagle's View's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ca'Zaria Britt, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine boards. Jayda Parker was another key player, going 5-for-8 en route to 10 points and four blocks.

North Florida Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Eagle's View, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season.

North Florida Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eagle's View, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 38-27 win against Florida School for the Deaf & Blind on the 18th.
