Monte Vista waltzed into their match on Saturday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They came out on top against the Folsom Bulldogs by a score of 2-0.

Monte Vista's offense was headlined by Kennedy Whyte and Avery Jernstedt, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Diya Mathew and her 16 assists.

Despite the loss, Folsom still got an impressive performance from Khloe Wong, who had seven digs and two aces.

Monte Vista's victory bumped their record up to 21-6. As for Folsom, they moved to 23-9 with that loss, which also ended their nine-match winning streak.

Monte Vista wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against James Logan on the 11th. As for Folsom, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Branson on the 11th.
