Shadow Ridge took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They came out on top against the Spanish Springs Cougars by a score of 28-20. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2023.

Shadow Ridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tyrell Craven led the charge by rushing for 129 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. Another back making a difference was Ray Carmel, who rushed for 91 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.

Shadow Ridge was moving up and down the field and finished the game with 459 total yards. That's the most total yards they've posted since back in September of 2023.
