Volleyball Recap: Mooresville Comes Up Short

If Mooresville was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Decatur Central on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pioneers came up short against the Danville Warriors on Thursday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Pioneers in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost five in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-17, 25-11.

Rebecca Schulz paced Mooresville's offense, picking up three kills. Schulz got some help from Larkin Prosser and her six assists.

Mooresville's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Danville, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Mooresville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against New Palestine on the 22nd. As for Danville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Bloomington South on the 20th.
