Football Recap: Port Jervis Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

Port Jervis and Saugerties squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Port Jervis had to settle for second. They and the Sawyers were almost perfectly matched up, but they suffered a 22-21 loss. The Raiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Sawyers earlier this season, when they won 48-14.

Port Jervis' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dylan Fox, who rushed for 112 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 110 yards on ten of 15 attempts. Fox's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 112 rushing yards.

Port Jervis' loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Saugerties, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 9-2.

Port Jervis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Saugerties, they will face off against Sleepy Hollow at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
