Basketball Recap: Milledgeville Athletic Club Skates Past Twiggs Academy with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Milledgeville Athletic Club). They blew past the Twiggs Academy Trojans, posting a 99-44 win. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 21 points or more this season.

Greyson Rogers had another great game (as he tends to do), putting up 44 points. His big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Branden Conner was another key player, posting 18 points and five rebounds.

The victory keeps Milledgeville Athletic Club at an undefeated 5-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 76.8 points this season. As for Twiggs Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Milledgeville Athletic Club will head out on the road to face off against Georgia School for Innovation & Classics at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Twiggs Academy, after both having extra time off, they and St. George's will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on December 2.
