Baseball Recap: Legacy Christian Academy Takes a Loss

If Legacy Christian Academy was riding high fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Alpaugh on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions fell just short of the Kennedy Thunderbirds by a score of 4-3 on Thursday.

Lincoln Brown was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run.

Legacy Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 12-6-1. As for Kennedy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-11.

Legacy Christian Academy and Kennedy could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Lions will square off against Selma at 4:30 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (904 vs. 316). Meanwhile, Kennedy (ranked 967th) will meet Chavez (ranked 463rd) at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
