Volleyball Recap: Carlyle's Loss Ends 14-Game Winning Streak at Home

Carlyle was the 2-0 winner over Hillsboro when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians/Lady Indians took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hiltoppers on Tuesday.

Carlyle was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-19.

Carlyle's loss ended a 14-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2. As for Hillsboro, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Carlyle will head out to square off against Sparta at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hillsboro, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Highland at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
