There's no place like home for Charlotte, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They blew past the Sarasota Sailors 58-34 on Tuesday. The Fightin' Tarpons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Charlotte found their leader in sophomore Acelia Beals, who went 8 for 15 on her way to 19 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists. Those eight boards gave Beals a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tiyanna Tice, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 13 points.

Charlotte was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sarasota only racked up five assists.

When it comes to explaining why Sarasota lost, don't look at Paisley Binswanger. Despite the final result, she went 5 of 12 on her way to 24 points and six rebounds.

Charlotte's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Sarasota, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

Charlotte didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 39-24 win against Gateway on the 9th. As for Sarasota, they will face off against Venice at 7:30 p.m. on January 15th.
