Basketball Recap: Neptune Comes Up Short

Neptune lost against Colts Neck back in February of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Neptune Scarlet Fliers might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Colts Neck Cougars an easy 48-23 win. The loss was the Scarlet Fliers' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Neptune fell to 2-1. As for Colts Neck, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Neptune and Allentown will round out the year against one another at at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Colts Neck, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Manalapan at 5:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
